A movie star missionary.
A movie star/kindergarten teacher.

Fail miserably.

Long Short Story in Euphony
Hi!
It’s summertime; in Seattle, that means it’s hot every other day, and every other day you walk out of the house wearing not enough clothes and eventually you get very sick.
In other news, “Diners,” a long short story I spent a very long time on is in the most recent issue of the University of Chicago’s Euphony Journal. You can download a PDF of the issue here. I owe a debt of gratitude to Jonathan Goldstein for his hilarious and fantastically written book Lenny Bruce is Dead, which influenced this story a great deal.
Earlier this year, Euphony published another short story, “I Thought I Was Going to Die,” as an online exclusive; you can read that here.
Bookslut Review and Interview
Check out my interview with Peter Mountford here and my review of his awesome debut novel, A Young Man’s Guide to Late Capitalism, here.
I love Bookslut, and I’m excited to be writing for them. I’m excited to even be listed on the Contributors page.
News
I have signed with an agent! That means that, conceivably, in the not-so-distant future, you all will be reading Monsters, having purchased it from a reputable place like Amazon or your local favorite bookstore. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. For now, I have an agent.
